| Silent Running (1972): In a sterile future Earth of all the flora and fauna of the planet ecosystems exist only in large pods attached to the spacecraft. When word comes that the pods must be jettisoned into space and destroyed so that the spaceship can be reused for commercial purposes, most of the crew of the Valley Forge rejoice at the thought of go home.
